Water Problem in Hendersonville? Here's What Happens Next

Our team is available 24/7even at 2 a.m. We quickly assess where the water is coming from and whether the leak is still active, then dispatch a crew right away. For most Hendersonville calls, we can be on-site within approximately 45 minutes.
Once we arrive, we identify and stop the source if it’s still active. Using thermal cameras and moisture meters, we assess and map the affected areas, then remove any standing water. Before we leave, drying equipment is in place and running, and you’ll have a clear understanding of what to expect over the next few days.
Mr. Restoration has worked in Hendersonville and across Sumner County for more than 20 years. We’re a family-owned Middle Tennessee company, and when the drying is done, our own crew handles the repairs.

My initial contact Chris was great at communicating and very urgent with getting to my issues. Chris helped to get everything set up quickly and responsive to all questions I had . After that Cruz came to check up on the system over a week or so both men were helpful respectful informative and had good customer service

After carpet company broke a pipe upstairs and flooded the entire kitchen and living room ceiling, Cruz and team came out asap and worked into the night to remove all damage and dry out everywhere. Then they quickly started reconstruction. Everything looks like new now. Communication was great! I hope I never have to use them again but if another situation arises I won’t call any other service

WHAT WE SEE MOST

The Water Damage Calls We Get Most in Hendersonville

Water Coming In Right Now?

If it’s safe, shut off the water main or the breaker for the wet area, unplug anything near standing water and call us. We’ll handle it from there.

Finished Basement Flooded? What Can Be Saved

This is the question we hear most from Hendersonville homeowners. The answer depends on where the water came from and how long it sat. The IICRC S500 standard sorts water into three categories:

Water that sits for a couple of days can move up a category, which is one more reason to call early. We’ll tell you which category applies before anything gets removed.

How Long Does Water Damage Cleanup Take?

Most residential drying jobs in Hendersonville take 3 to 5 days. Larger losses and dense materials like hardwood or plaster can take longer. Here’s how a typical job runs:

First hour

Crew arrives, confirms the source is stopped and starts extraction

Day 1

Standing water removed, wet areas mapped, drying equipment set

Days 2 to 4

Daily moisture readings, equipment adjusted as materials dry

Days 3 to 5

Dry standard confirmed, equipment removed

After drying

Drywall, flooring, trim and paint repaired by our in-house crew

FAQs

Hendersonville Water Damage Cleanup FAQ

My basement flooded after heavy rain. Will insurance cover it?

It depends on your policy. Groundwater and surface flooding are typically excluded from standard homeowners coverage unless you carry flood insurance, and sump pump backup is often a separate add-on. Check your policy. We document the damage either way.

Should I pull up wet carpet myself?
Hold off if you can. Pulling it up can damage the carpet and pad, and contaminated water needs protective handling. Move furniture off the wet area and let us assess it first.
Can my family stay home during drying?
Usually, yes. The equipment is noisy and runs around the clock, but most families stay home unless the water was contaminated or a large part of the house is affected.
How do I know if there's water behind my walls?
Watch for peeling or bubbling paint, soft drywall, swollen baseboards and a musty smell. Our thermal cameras and moisture meters can confirm it without opening the wall.
